Chopper Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Popular California Coast
A chopper flying near a crowded southern California coastline suddenly commenced twirling uncontrollably, finally losing altitude and crashing into a line of palm groves as onlookers observed.
Videos posted on social media capture the aircraft starting to spin above Huntington Beach then falling near the perimeter of the beach, where it becomes wedged among palm groves and a steps near the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Details
Local firefighters said five people were rushed to the hospital including a pair who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the accident on that day.
Three persons on the street were harmed. Details on their condition were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.

Officials indicated the aircraft was linked to an regular “Cars N Copters” charity gathering scheduled for the following day.
